Mara Rosenbloom is an exciting, young pianist who has emerged on the New York scene since 2008. Mainly known for the quartet she leads in her own name with Darius Jones (alto saxophone), Sean Conly (bass), and Tomas Fujiwara (drums), her music defies definition in that it is neither resolutely experimental, nor is it “in.”
